I've come up with a simple but powerful idea for my life called FFF. It's an easy way to help me reach the things I want or need. People often ask, "How did you quit smoking?" or "How did you learn programming?" Sometimes it's hard to give a clear answer, but now I know the answer is FFF.
Fail
I failed so many times before finally quitting smoking. Every time I failed, I felt terrible and blamed myself. That feeling was the real problem because it didn't help at all—it just made me feel stuck. After a while, I learned to be kinder to myself and accept that failing is normal. I'm human, I'm not perfect, and failing is okay. It's not the end, just one of many tries.
Focus
At first, I wanted to quit smoking forever, but this goal was too big and too hard to reach without smaller successes along the way. When I started focusing on just getting through one day without smoking, things became easier. This smaller goal felt doable and gave me a feeling of progress each day.
Fabulous
When I finally reached the end of my first month without smoking, the feeling was amazing. Knowing I did it felt fabulous. It reminded me how important small goals are and how accepting failure helps along the way.
Why I'm sharing this?
I know I'll fail again, so I'm writing down and sharing my ideas to help myself—and maybe you—remember that it's okay to fail. I'll keep trying until it's fabulous.
