Inspiration Is Old Gold

I caught myself while sitting on the couch, thinking about how much I love building things. Not just the things I build, but the values I try to follow and the path I want to take. What I found interesting is that the people or companies I look up to are very different. One is an agency based in Germany, the other one in the UK. They build similar things, but in different ways. Still, they both share the same values and standards.

That made me realize how lucky we are to live in this time. I was just sitting in my place, and with a few clicks, I could explore other people’s work from across the world. I could see how they think, what they care about, and how they do what they do. That helps me stay excited to build, and reminds me of the kind of work I want to do.

Inspiration

Inspiration isn’t something new. Since humans started writing and sharing ideas, we’ve been passing knowledge to each other. At first, it was slow—through scrolls, books, and trade routes. Then the printing press made it faster. Now, the internet makes it instant. That’s huge.

Before, inspiration was something rare. You had to be in the right place, know the right people, or have access to certain books. But now, it’s different. You can just open your laptop and explore the work of people anywhere in the world.

Personal Note

For me, one person I really look up to is Paul Graham. I love how he writes—his essays are so clear and full of useful thoughts. Sometimes I read the same one again just to see how he explains something. I hope one day I can write like that too.

Why I'm writing this?

Because this small moment reminded me that inspiration is global now. You don’t need to travel or wait for someone to teach you. You can just look around, follow your curiosity, and learn from the best people out there.

Inspiration is old gold. But now, that gold is available to everyone.
